1. Spring clip type connecting links (CL) are available for all single and multiple strand British standard chain from 16B and below. Cotter type connecting links are available for all single and multiple strand British standard 16B and above. An offset link (OL) is a combination of a roller link and a pin link. This link is used where the chain is used when the chain length is an odd number of pitches. It is recommended not to use an offset link whenever possible.
2. BS/DIN standard short pitch precision roller chains with various attachments are usually called as Attachment Chains. The following attachments apply to both BS/DIN and ANSI short pitch precision roller chains.
